The cellphone manufacturer plans to release as many as 20 new smartphones in 2010! This of course is apart from the normal feature phones we can expect. While Motorola might have taken a while to get its act together, it finally seems to be on the right track now. Jha confirmed that number of new smartphones would be in "multiple tens", before going on to reveal that 20 smartphones would see the light of the day next year.

One thing everyone would be looking forward to see is whether Motorola will release any Windows Mobile 6.5 powered device. As of now, it seems to be too preoccupied with Android to give the other OS'es a shot. Also, it was said earlier that Motorola does not intend to release Windows Mobile 6.5 devices and might directly jump to Windows Mobile 7 -- also due 2010.

Motorola's aggressive approach might just be the boost the company needs to come out of the dismal 2008-09 the company faced; a period when it even mulled over pulling the plug on its handset operations.
