Motorola launches Quad-band phone

NEW DELHI: Motorola has announced the launch of first Quad-band phone, V600 in India. The uniqueness of quad-band technology lies in its seamless roaming facility across 800, 900, 1800 and 1900 GSM bands–making it functional across the globe. The product has a retail price tag of Rs 20,495 in India.



Targeted at international travelers, the new handset uses latest technology to provide seamless connectivity along with the personal information management (PIM) functionality, which keeps the user up-to-date on important meetings and tasks. "On the other hand the ability to sync with POP3 and IMAP4 e-mail accounts allows professionals to keep track of their business mails," the company press release stated.


The Bluetooth compatible V600 also boasts of MP3 capability, an integrated camera, video playback and discreet color notification lights that assign different colors, ring tones to one’s preferred contact, while eliciting cosmopolitan admiration for its sophisticated clamshell design with a metal exterior.


"The Motorola V600 marks a new beginning for the Indian consumer. It promises to keep every mobile executive connected and entertained while on the move across the globe," said Motorola Personal Communication Sector General Manager (South-West Asia) Percy P. Batlivala.
