Motorola India gets new business head

BANGALORE: Motorola India today announced the appointment of Parmindra Kwatra as country head, director & general manager for its telecom infrastructure business (Global Telecom Solutions Sector), in India. He will be responsible for further strengthening and growing Motorola's infrastructure business in the country.

Kwatra joins Motorola from Siemens Public Communication Networks, where he served as Vice President and Head of Sales, Mobile Networks for India and neighboring countries. His appointment marks Motorola's increased thrust in the telecom infrastructure space in India. A telecom specialist with over 20 years experience, Kwatra has worked with several leading telecom companies. He is recognized widely for business and team building, expertise in enhancing sales, developing and nurturing young talent.

Parmindra Kwatra holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering and an MBA. A Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecom Engineers (FIETE), Kwatra has attended senior management and leadership programs at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, USA, AT&T and Siemens. He is based at Motorola India's headquarters at Gurgaon, near Delhi.
