Moto E goes out of stock on Flipkart

BANGALORE, INDIA: In less than a day of the its debut on Flipkart in India, the Moto E was found out of stock on the site. A similar surge of traffic was noticed in February this year also, while Moto G was launched on Flipkart. The first stock apparently ran out within 15 minutes of the launch and the same has happened this time as well.

This is the third Android smartphone from Motorola launched in India, post the success of the Moto G and Moto X.

The phone was simultaneously launched in UK and in India on Wednesday. The phone was released in India exclusively through Flipkart for an initial offer price of Rs 6,999.

The kind of specs Motorola is offering in a budget range, has made the Moto E a top choice for the price-sensitive Indian buyers.

The Moto E is a watered down version of the Moto G. The rugged device comes with scratch-resistant 4.3-inch qHD display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor along with Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB RAM. The dual-SIM phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is upgradable to future versions. The phone is packed with 4GB internal memory which is expandable upto 32GB and 5MP rear camera the connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS.

Moto E comes with interchangeable backs-called Motorola Shells-providing many color and design combinations to let you customise the look of your phone, which adds to the style quotient as well.
