Moser Baer net up 36.76%

MUMBAI: Moser Baer has announced its financial results by posting a net profit of Rs 324.4 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004 as compared to a net profit of Rs 237.2 crore for the year ended March 31, 2003, an increase of 36.76 percent. Total income has increased from Rs 1094.90 crore in FY-03 to Rs 1525.01 crore in FY-04, an increase of 39.26 percent.



The company has given medium term revenue guidance by announcing that over the next three years it expects to grow its revenues at a CAGR of 25-35 percent. Based on present market conditions, the company plans to invest $ 135 million for acquisition of fixed assets during this financial year.



This will allow the company to grow its optical media capacity from two billion units to 2.4 billion units. In line with the company's project management and commercialization capabilities, this capacity is expected to commence production by second half of next financial year. The company had plans to invest more money in expanding its recordable DVD manufacturing capacity.
