Moodle MOOC 2 opens on WizIQ

RALEIGH, USA: After the huge success of first Moodle Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), leading e-learning platform, WizIQ announced Moodle MOOC 2 commencing on October 1, 2013. The MOOC 2 will have Stephen Downes, one of the pioneers in establishing MOOCs as a platform for learning and MeiMei Fox, a celebrity life coach and writer, as presenters.

The other presenters include Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, Dr. Ludmila Smirnova, Benjamin Stewart, Dr. Dean Radin, Dr. Rachel Sale, Dr. Marshall, Dr. Cheryl Kulikowski-Lentz, Dr. Ebba Ossiannilsson, Dr. Nancy Zingrone and Dr. Ramesh C. Sharma. The MOOC and the live online classes will be coordinated by Dr. Nellie Deutsch.

The theme of this MOOC is teaching and leading from the inside out for personal and professional development. The course will combine both asynchronous and synchronous elements. The synchronous will include 11 live online classes with recordings, content (tips and tricks), and discussions.

The live online classes will be delivered via the WizIQ Virtual Classroom and recordings of these classes will be available on WizIQ, YouTube, and Vimeo for future reference, in case somebody misses a class or would like to review the content.

The MOOC will focus on Transpersonal Active Learning (TAL) and teaching through Moodle. Transpersonal development encompasses the whole person. The live presentations will include the speakers' reflective process on teaching and learning in fully online and blended learning formats. Moodle MOOC 2 will also include Moodle for Teachers (M4T) courses for beginners and advanced Moodlers.
