He said the Modularis Accelerator Platform automates up-to 70 percent of the software development process resulting in lower time-related costs, high initial quality and significantly reduced risk.

"Accelerator 2009 R2 offers our clients several new features including framework and automation components that enable them to rapidly develop Microsoft Silverlight applications without having to modify any back-end or middle-tier components," Singh said.

He said new Open Web Services provide cross-platform compatibility out-of-the-box allowing clients, partners and end customers to build JAVA applications that can easily and securely access data and services in any .NET-based Modularis solution.

"One of our current systems is written for one vertical market and limits us to North America," said Rich Reynertson, chief executive officer, Feed Management Systems. "The Modularis Business Application Platform (Accelerator) permits us to grow into other global markets and allows us to build a platform to leverage our intellectual property into additional related verticals as well. We build applications with the Modularis Platform and our clients can further extend their own deployments."

Brian Gorbett, senior architect, Microsoft's Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) Group said: "It's great to see a Microsoft Partner like Modularis deliver a solution that further shows the value of the .NET platform while at the same time making it easier for other Microsoft Partners and Clients to more quickly develop and deploy .NET solutions that are enterprise ready."

"Accelerator embodies Microsoft and .NET best practices thereby ensuring solutions developed with it are of high quality and able to meet not only technical requirements but key business objectives," Microsoft's Gorbett added.
