Than, Mocomi.com is the place where every parent and teacher should bring kids and help them learn and gain knowledge in an easy way.

Pune based Anibrain Digital Technologies Pvt. Ltd, has built and developed this unique portal with a team of 25 in a span of a year's time, and was finally launched in April early this year.

According to Jesh Krishna Murthy, Mocomi.com's founder and CEO, the idea of the portal came from a combinations of factors and personal experiences.

''After my child was born, I was wondering what I could do or make that would help him in learning  but in an effective and interesting way. Given the changes in education over the years, where could my kid go to get quality education or content. How would I you use my vast experience and knowledge of animation industry in making education more interactive and interesting for my kid,'' said Murthy.

''This is how the whole concept of Mocomi came to my mind and it took over a year to develop the website and create the quality educational content in-house with lots of interactive features suitable to kids and their interests,'' adds Murthy, who is also spearheading Anibrain Digital Technologies, one of India's leading visual effects provider to Hollywood films.

Mocomi.com aims to provide quality educational content using technology that engages children in learning and expanding knowledge with an element of fun. For educational content it uses interactivity in form of videos, audio, pictures, games and others.

Also, it offers a range of activities and tasks for kids such as coloring pages, craft ideas, science experiments, toys, history, art, music, interactive stories, apps and much more. In fact. Mocomi.com has a YouTube channel as well, bringing the audio-video element in imparting education and learning to kids.

He informs that a huge effort has gone into building the website including people, technology and its implementation.

''The site is built using HTML5 and JAVA script as it is a widely preferred medium rather than Flash. We have built a special Content Management System (CMS) keeping in view the interactivity, scale and size of content that is expected to grow. Also, we have used Nginx technology to power our servers,'' Murthy explains.

Though the educational content is primarily targeted at children in India, given the essential base of knowledge, it is available and appealing to children in other countries too. After four months of launch, the site has attracted over 45,000 unique visitors and more than 35,000 users viewed its YouTube channel.

The portal claims that 30 per cent of total visitors are from overseas including the US, UK, Canada, Australia and UAE.

According to Murthy, the portal's quality educational content is completely free without any charges and the quality of content in digital medium is developed by in-house team.

However, in terms of return on investment, Murthy informs, ''We are making educational products for schools, tutors and parents along with ads on website, which will help generate income.''

''As a first step we will be launching a Hindi version of Mocomi.com on 15 August and later use that experience to add other languages and expand regional reach. Besides, we want to convert the website into a digital platform where users can post and share content, take its owners and distribute it,'' Murthy concludes.
