The phone comes with a 1.3 mega pixel CCD camera that can be operated horizontally with two ends, just like a conventional camera. It offers still and video recording, 8x zoom, photo light, night mode, automatic while balance and automatic exposure control to adjust for different light conditions.

The 2.3 inch 262K TFT color screen and softkeys allows the user to browse the Internet, view messages and access a wide variety of multimedia and entertainment applications such as the media player, 3D games MusicDJ and FM radio.

The S700i accepts music formats like MP3 and AAC. Tracks can be downloaded to the PC and then transferred to the phone via the Memory Stick Duo or the serial interface.

The S700i offers a wide range of connectivity options. A 32 Memory Stick Duo is supplied with support for up to 128 MB. The S710a version of the phone supports EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution). Bluetooth technology is also built in. allowing fast wireless transmission to a host of devices, including headsets, handsfree kits, PCs, PDAs, digital cameras, printers and household appliances. The S700i also provides infrared communication.
