Digital payments firm MobiKwik is integrating its payment gateway, Zaakpay into the IRCTC’s Rail Connect app to enable customers book train tickets using MobiKwik’s payment gateway. MobiKwik’s payment method currently empowers more than 3,000 e-commerce websites and apps.

“Our association with IRCTC is another step to reach out and work towards our mission of digitalizing the country. This association will help the passengers to pay for their tickets seamlessly and securely, within seconds,” MobiKwik’s chief business officer Vineet Singh said.

The tie-up is aimed at simplifying the payments process by integrating MobiKwik’s interface which supports payments solution through channels like a debit card, credit card, net banking, and wallets. It is interesting to note that UPI payments method is not an option in this deal.

MobiKwik said that it has partnered with the rail ticketing platform after the significant rise in cashless transactions in the country. The company claimed that during the current fiscal year, as much as 17 percent of the tickets were booked through cashless transactions.

According to MobiKwik, it processes 100 million transactions per month through its secure platform that works with different levels of security- encryption of all transactions, sensitive data storage with multiple levels of encryption of API level security.
