Mistral announces Centillis 9U compact PCI system

NEW DELHI: Mistral Solutions has announced the availability of Centillis 8735

9U system featuring the SENTINEL 'universal-mode' PCI-to-PCI bridge (PPB)

technology for CompactPCI system or peripheral slot functionality from Force

Computers. Based on the CPCI-735 single board computer (SBC) powered by the

Mobile Pentium III 700MHz processor -this eight-slot system provides a flexible,

reliable, scalable Windows 2000 solution ideal for harsh industrial

environments. It also offers PICMG 2.1, R2.0 Full Hot Swap support in an

application-ready server suitable for off-the-shelf, third-party I/O products.

With the SENTINEL universal PCI-to-PCI bridge technology enabling the

system's single board computer to operate in either the system or peripheral

slots, the Centellis 8735 allows implementation of the robust Windows 2000

operating system in an embedded environment.

Suitable for desktop or rack-mount configurations, the Centellis 8735 system

supports a wide range of Windows 2000-based clustering, Internet protocol (IP)

networking, customer premises equipment (CPE), computer telephony equipment (CTE)

and other applications requiring universal-mode capability. It also offers seven

H.110-compatible CompactPCI user slots and five drive bays as well as redundant,

hot-swappable power supplies, fan modules and storage modules for enhanced

availability and serviceability.

Overall, the Centillis 8735 provides flexibility for configuring

standards-based solutions for telephony, data communications, embedded server,

industrial control and other demanding applications. And it provides full

CompactPCI Hot Swap support, enabling addition or exchange of peripheral I/O

boards, without interrupting operations.

The entry-level Pentium III processor-based Centellis 8735 is available now.

Prices start at $6,500 for single-order quantities.
