MindTree strengthens board of directors

BANGALORE: IT and R&D services company MindTree Consulting today announced the inclusion of five independent directors to its Board of Directors.

The new MindTree Board would comprise 10 directors. The five new members who will function as independent directors are Dr Albert Hieronimus, managing director of Motor Industries Co. Ltd. and chairman of Robert Bosch India Ltd., George Scalise, president of Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), Mark Runacres, consultant in a range of fields, including at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), N Vittal, former chief vigilance officer and an accomplished public administrator and R Srinivasan, former managing director of Widia (India) Ltd.

“The strengthening of the MindTree’s Board of Directors with the inclusion of five distinguished personalities will help the organization achieve greater goals. We are looking forward to their guidance in the days to come,” said Ashok Soota, chairman and managing director, MindTree.

In addition to the five independent directors, MindTree’s Board of Directors includes Lip-Bu Tan, chairman of Walden International, Siddhartha VG, chairman of Global Technology Ventures and Vivek Kalra, vice president at Capital Group. They represent the three investors in MindTree.

Ashok Soota and Subroto Bagchi, MindTree Consulting chief operating officer, will function as executive directors on the Board.
