MindTree, Borland to open CoE

NEW DELHI, INDIA: MindTree Consulting Limited today announced its strategic alliance with Borland Software India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Borland Software Corporation, open application lifecycle management (ALM) provider, to launch Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India.

As part of this alliance, MindTree and Borland will jointly set up the next generation software testing CoE lab at the MindTree development center in Bangalore, MindTree said in a statement.

The CoE would serve as a technology incubation hub and provide training, evaluation software, online learning, technical seminars and solution demonstration to Testing professionals at MindTree Consulting. It will be fully operational by June 30, 2007, the statement added.

“The Borland Testing CoE at MindTree development center in Bangalore will help our customers rely on industry leading solutions for their performance testing and test automation needs,” Krishnakumar Natarajan, president and CEO IT services, MindTree Consulting said.

Commenting on the partnership, Dave Martin, vice president of Strategic Accounts, Borland Software, said, “The CoE lab at MindTree would feature award-winning solutions from Borland that enable global organizations to deliver high-quality software in a predictable manner.”

“The facility will also represent an active “proof of concept” for Borland’s Open ALM approach, supporting quality testing practices across multiple platforms, tools and processes,” he added.
