Mindtree Appoints Venu Lambu as President of Global Markets

This role is will make him accelerating Mindtree’s revenue growth. Based in London, Venu will be responsible for formulating strategic direction and business development for Mindtree businesses across all industry segments.

In the past, Venu has held leadership positions at Cognizant, HCL Technologies, and IBM. Venu earned his bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from the University of Mysore. Later, he earned a general management certification from the London School of Business.

He has 25+ years of experience in driving strategies and growth in the Technology and Services industry, from early-to-market stages to mature and accelerating revenue streams reaching over $3B. He has worked in helping businesses transition to digital, designing and managing high-performance teams, and driving business turnaround initiatives.

Lambu is an industry thought leader advocating the value propositions of Application, Cloud Services, Infrastructure and Edge Computing, was a member of Cognizant’s Executive Leadership Team and responsible to oversee more than $3B in P&L, and over 30 thousand employees, and have led the growth of the business to 4X in 6 years.

The business group has recently won global recognition and leader ranking. The awards were from top analyst firms such as Gartner, Forrester, HfS, IDC, Everest, and ISG studies.

Prior to Cognizant, Lambu led HCL Tech's Continental Europe Growth. From early-stage player to a leading partner of choice to strategic clients across the continent, he was an integral part. Venu also has extensive experience in Application transformation, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas sector-based solutions and certified Supply Chain transformation expertise.
