MindTree announces Design Service alliance with UMC

BANGALORE: Bangalore based MindTree Consulting and Somerset, NJ, have

announced a design service alliance with UMC, a semiconductor foundry. MindTree

Consulting will manage the entire chip development process for UMC's customer by

offering both front-end and back-end cost-effective solutions to those

developing SOC designs.






"Our relationship with UMC will further strengthen our ability to offer
turnkey product realization services, which includes enhanced IC design

services, IP sourcing and integration," said S N Padmanabhan, VP - Hardware

Engineering at MindTree Consulting.

UMC Deputy Director of corporate marketing C G Shih said, "UMC offers a

variety of programs suited for any type of customer to access our advanced deep-submicron

offer their services to assist our customers with the front and backend support

they require to bring their SOC designs to market."
