BANGALORE: Mindteck, a global software services company has chalked out plans
to build up its presence in Japan as well as in the Middle East. The company is
also working towards building an unique global corporate personality to create a
global 'one firm' model.
In this line Mindteck plans to partner with and acquire companies globally,
so as to offer solutions across various platforms and industries domain areas.
"Mindteck is actively partnering within and externally so as to enable
matrix-reporting relationships to better deliver solutions demanded by
customers," said, Mindteck Group CEO Sumit Ganguli. "We are actively
moving away from control and titles and towards ownership, expert teams,
Partners-as enablers and technology anchors," he added.
Speaking about the consolidation of its Japanese presence, Ganguli said,
"We have acquired Mindware, which has a major presence in Japan with
customers like NEC. This along with our current capabilities and resources makes
Japanese market very important for us." The company is looking at hiring
more professionals.
Mindteck has plans to leverage its relationship with TAIB Bank, Mindteck's
key investor to tap the Middle East and Gulf markets. "We have identified
strong demand for software services in the ERP/CRM, banking and financial
services, Shipping and Logistics segments and our competencies in these domains
give us the bandwidth to offer competitive solutions," said Ganguli.
The company witnessed a turnover of Rs 13.27 crore for the last fiscal ended
June 2001. Its turnover for the first quarter ended September 2001 was Rs 13.54
crore, which was the first time the Company declared consolidated revenues after
successfully completing the acquisition of US-based software consulting company
Infotech Holdings Inc. (in July 2001).
"We aim at becoming a $100 million company by 2004-05 through organic
growth and acquisitions," said Ganguli.
