Mindcrest to expand Mumbai center

MUMBAI, INDIA: Mindcrest, the oldest legal process outsourcing (LPO) company, headquartered in the US will expand its Mumbai center by April this year. The company has two offshore centers in Pune and Mumbai with total workforce of 575.

According to Rohan Dalal, managing director of Mindcrest India, earlier the company had projected to add about 300 staffs by the end of 2008.

“But with increase in amount of works and projects from US, we are planning to expand our Mumbai operations. We will be hiring about 400 plus staffs in a phase-wise manner and that will take our total strength to around 900 plus by 2009 end,” Dalal said.

Further, he added that with such strong workforce, Mindcrest will be the largest LPO in India to hire lawyers compared to other firms. Among the new staff, majority will be law graduates and lawyers from India and some legal experts from the US, he said.

“In present phase, the company is witnessing significant rise in work related to litigation, e-discovery, due diligence, contract managements, legal compliance and clients' support. Primarily, the work flow is from the US and followed by the UK clients,” Dalal explained.

While talking to CyberMedia News, Dalal informed that Mindcrest's revenues has moved up by 200 per cent compared to last year and the company expects 50 per cent rise in its client base by this year end.

According to Dalal, due to the financial downturn, companies and organizations have a limited budgets but even so they require legal services or the amount will get increase.

“So in such situation, clients always look for cheaper or cost effective services but quality of services remains a major factor.”

About Mindcrest's pricing structure, Dalal said, “Apart from cost advantage, we offer dedicated resource services depending on the clients' requirements. Many of our clients are working with us for the past five years, mainly because of our established track record and the holistic service approach that provides quality, efficiency and risk management.”

“Other then legal expertise, we highly depend on IT for delivering our services to clients. For us, IT is more about innovation and utilizing it to deliver value services in form of efficiency and risk management,” Dalal added.
