Millennium Infotech to have centers in UK, S''pore

HYDERABAD: After tasting success in the US, Millennium Infotech is ready to test itself in the Middle-East, UK and Singapore.

After the recent addition of its center in Dubai the company is also planning to launch its operations in the UK and Singapore by next year.

``Some of our customers in the US have a presence across the globe. We are looking to extend our relationship with them in the UK and Singapore,’’ said Shankara Murthy, executive vice-president, Millennium Infotech.

The company, which started its center in Hyderabad last year, is in the process of scaling its business in India. ``Our focus is to make India our global delivery hub. The prospect in India is huge. Lots of MNCs are setting up their units here. So we can utilize our experience in the US can work with the companies that are starting their operations here. In India we are focusing on Data Center Solutions and Content Management,’’ said Ramana Krosuri, president of Millennium Infotech.

According the Krosuri, Millennium would scale its headcount to 1000 by the end of 2007. In India the company plans to invest $100 million in the next two years in a phased manner. It would also set up a training center in Hyderabad. The center would not only serve Millennium’s clients but also cater to its in-house training.

Millennium has a partnership with Riverbed to market the former’s WAN products in the US, India and the Middle-East.
