MANHASSET, NEW YORK: Mike Heitzman has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Qspeed Semiconductor. Heitzman, formerly Qspeed Semiconductor’s vice-president of marketing, now replaces Syrus Ziai.
Mike Heitzman has to his credit over 25 years of experience in the business of semiconductor, including as vice-president and general manager of the Analog and Power Management Products Division of ON Semiconductor, as well as 18 years of service with the Semiconductor Products Sector of Motorola in several management capacities.
Daniel Artusi, chairman of the board of Qspeed Semiconductor, said in a statement that Mike Heitzman’s background in the fields of semiconductor operations, manufacturing and marketing makes him “ideally suited to lead the company to the next stage.”
Qspeed Semiconductor, the privately owned firm founded in 1999, makes silicon power devices based on proprietary technologies.
The product portfolio of Qspeed Semiconductor includes inverters, motor controls, 300V and 600V power diodes for AC-to-DC power supplies, and other power applications higher than 150W.
