Microsoft unveils iPad app: Bing for iPad

BANGALORE, INDIA: There's good news for all those Bing enthusiasts, who are using iPad. The software giant has announced the new version of Bing, aimed for iPad users.

This was announced in a blog post by the Bing team, which enables users to search beyond the traditional search experience.

"New iPad app will offer a unique and visually rich way to search the Web. The app is designed from the ground up for touch. You can quickly browse news, movies, Bing homepage images, local business listings and much more — all with the swipe of your finger," said Zachary Gutt, lead program manager, Bing in a blog post.

Features of iPad app includes Trends, available exclusively on Bing for iPad, enables users to explore the latest trends on Bing using the touch screen interface to see what people are searching for right now.

It also provides multiple map views, Weather updates by MSN Weather and Bing’s Voice Search.
