Microsoft Research to expand its India operations

BANGALORE, INDIA: Microsoft Research Lab India Private Ltd. will continue to expand its research team and operations, said Dr P Anandan, Director, Microsoft Research India here on Tuesday.

The group will pursue an ambitious research agenda built around seven core areas which are central to Microsoft's long-term vision and strategy Dr Anandan said announcing the commencement of 20th anniversary celebrations of the Microsoft Research.

He said Microsoft Research (MSR) will commemorate its 20th anniversary is by a series of symposiums at the organization’s six labs in the U.S., England, India and China.

Dr Anandan said that the in past 20 years Microsoft researchers are working across continents and disciplines, collaborating with Microsoft and through industry and academia to create technologies that can help change business, life and society.

He said Microsoft Research impacts nearly every product or service the company releases.
