Microsoft Office Specialist India Championship calls for participants

Certiport, has announced the 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) India Championship, the technology skills competition on Microsoft Office.

BANGALORE, INDIA: Certiport, a Pearson VUE business, has announced the 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) India Championship, the technology skills competition on Microsoft Office.

The MOS India Championship provides a platform for students to showcase their expert skills using Microsoft Office tools and gain the upper hand in today's competitive academic and professional marketplace.

Pankaj Rai, director and chief executive officer, CyberLearning, said, “This will mark the fifth year India has participated in the MOS World Championship, and excitement continues to grow as students around the country prove their superior technology skills. India had a World Champion last year, ArjitKansal, which will inspire an even greater interest in the competition. We look forward to crowning our Country Champions who will then go on to compete on the world stage.”

Students age 13 to 22 can qualify to participate by earning a passing score on one of the following MOS certification exams between 15 September 2014 and 19 April 2015: MOS Word 2010, MOS Excel 2010, MOS PowerPoint 2010, MOS Word 2013, MOS Excel 2013, MOS PowerPoint 2013.

Upon completion of the qualifying round, 150 students will be invited to attend the 2015 MOS India Championship even. During the India Championship, all competitors will take a unique competition exam in their track.

In the end anyone who earns certification is a winner with a valuable credential on their resume to prove their skills.”

The top three students in each track will be honored with prizes and certificates and the first six placed champions will win an invitation and all-expenses-paid trip to compete in Certiport’s 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship.
