Microsoft Office apps to come preloaded in Android phones soon

Microsoft has partnered with over 30 OEMs also such as Samsung, Sony, LG and many more, to pre-load the Office apps on Android devices

BANGALORE, INDIA: Android users will now be able to download Word, Excel and PowerPoint on phones also. Microsoft previously released Office apps for Android tablets and also released the preview for Android phones preview to test and

incorporate user feedback.

Microsoft has partnered with over 30 OEMs also such as Samsung, Sony, LG and many more, to pre-load the Office apps on Android devices. Many of these devices will be landing in retail stores later this year. You can downloadthe apps from the Google Play store also.

Microsoft has made it easier to connect to other popular third-party storage offerings like Google Drive and Box, as well as many usability adjustments to make it easier to navigate commands within the apps.

Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate vice president for the Office Client Applications and Services team has highlighted some new features of the Office phone apps in a blog post.

Quick access to documents: Create, open, edit and store files in OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox, Google Drive and Box, so that you can access them anywhere and anytime you need them.

On-the-go reviews and edits: Read, review, and make edits on-the-go. Turn numbers into insights with easy insertion of charts, text and tables in Excel.

Share Documents easily: Share your documents with others by simply emailing a hyperlink or attachment.

Presenting from phone: present on-the-go right from your phone with PowerPoint—review, make quick edits.
