SAN RAFAEL: Autodesk Inc., the world's leading design and digital content
creation company, on Tuesday announced that it had been named one of three
Microsoft Global Partners of the Year 2001 for its leadership in providing
Microsoft Windows-based solutions to worldwide customers.
Autodesk, was selected for the Global Software Partner of the Year award in
recognition of its comprehensive, long-standing support for Microsoft operating
systems and its commitment to developing customer solutions using new Microsoft
technologies, such as the .NET.
The company representatives were honored on July 15, 2001, at the Microsoft
Fusion 2001 Award Ceremony; Microsoft's worldwide certified partner conference,
in Anaheim, California.
"Autodesk has been working in tandem with Microsoft for nearly twenty
years and will continue to work closely with them to provide the solutions
customers in design and digital media need to unleash their creativity and
enhance their productivity," said Autodesk's chief technology officer,
Scott Borduin.
