Microsoft launches package for e-commerce solutions

BANGALORE: Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. has launched an e-commerce suite called ‘e-biz Pack’ targeted at Indian enterprises setting up e-commerce Web sites. According to a release, the e-biz pack bundles Microsoft’s Site Server Commerce 3.0 and SQL Server 7.0.

The pack also comes with an Internet Connector License for both products which provides unlimited access to Internet users, the release said. As part of this e-biz pack, Microsoft is also providing free marketing support for companies adopting the e-biz pack. Companies can also seek service and solution support from over 100 Microsoft Certified Solution Providers for implementing the e-biz pack, said the release.

To help drive traffic to the company’s Web site, Microsoft is offering free promotion space in the form of banners on MSN Hotmail. The e-biz pack is priced at $6000 and more information on the e-biz pack is available for companies on www.microsoft.com/india/sql.
