As an initial investment Microsoft will identify and enroll 600 plus trainers

from Microsoft Certified Technical Education centers across India.

Under the MCT 2002 program, trainers would need to complement their technical

skills with instructional skills training. This training, pre approved by

Microsoft, will be available across the country through National Institute of

Sales and Equinox.

The trainers, once certified, would need to keep themselves abreast of the

latest technology trends and developments, which would be measured on an annual

basis through CEC's (Continued Education Credits) that can be earned by

attending relevant technology seminars.

Microsoft India marketing group manager, Sanjiv Mathur, said, "There is

a growing need within the IT industry and students for qualified technical

trainers who apart from product knowledge are also equipped with the right

skills. The MCT 2002 launch is timed to address this latent demand by creating a

world class trainer community in India."
