BANGALORE: Microsoft Corporation India has announced the signing of a MoU
with CMC Ltd. The MoU provides for both Microsoft and CMC to jointly develop
future ready solutions on Microsoft’s .NET platform for the finance,
manufacturing, government and infrastructure sectors. This entails the alignment
of exiting CMC infrastructure technologies on the Microsoft .NET Platform and
collaboration on XML standards. The MoU was signed by, Microsoft Corporation
India Pvt. Ltd. managing director, Rajiv Kaul and CMC Ltd. CEO and managing
director, S S Ghosh
Elaborating on the MoU with CMC Kaul said, "Partner relationships play a
crucial role in extending our .NET vision to businesses and end users. Aligning
with CMC will enable us to reach out more effectively to customers in core
verticals such as finance, manufacturing, government and infrastructure. Working
together with CMC we seek to deliver enterprise class solutions that will match
the IT needs of the customers in this segment."
"By providing CMC early access and training on .NET technologies, we will
also be creating a future ready platform to work together for leveraging both
local and global business opportunities". added Kaul.
Terming the alliance as a win-win situation for both Microsoft and CMC, Ghosh
said, "On account of rapid technology changes and increasing competition,
we realize the strong business value in partnering with Microsoft, which offers
the latest in system software, desktop productivity tools and high-end server
technologies".
Microsoft has already trained more than 250 key members from CMC on Microsoft
.NET technology. CMC too has aligned its technical and sales teams to address
specific opportunities on the Microsoft .NET technology platform / products.
Both companies have jointly identified fresh application opportunities and CMC
is working on moving existing applications on to the .NET platform.
