Microsoft India appoints Maya Hari

BANGALORE,INDIA: Maya Hari has been appointed the head of Consumer Marketing of Microsoft India.

Announcing this appointment in a statement here, Microsoft India said this appointment is part of its continued focus on new initiatives aimed at the consumers in India. Hari will report to Jaspreet Bindra, India country manager, Online Service Microsoft India.

She will be responsible for strengthening the marketing for Microsoft’s online brands in India- MSN India and Windows Live Services.

“We see a significant growth of internet users and time spent by the user online today. MSN India and Windows Live will bring a lot more to consumers in the next few months and this appointment is a part of our efforts to strengthen these initiatives in India.” said Bindra.

Hari has over seven years of experience in consumer marketing, strategic planning, product line and brand launches. She began her career in strategic marketing at Schlumberger and Cisco Systems in the US. Most recently, Hari headed Brand and B2B marketing for Google South Asia.

She is an MBA from INSEAD, France and did her Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Utah State University, US and her Bachelors in Telecom Engineering from VES Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Hari founded The Pink Lotus, an art and photography marketing firm in San Francisco that promoted art by global artists. She also writes articles on travel and lifestyle.
