Microsoft releases Windows 10 Insider preview build with new improvements

If you are using Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 and wish for a Windows upgrade then better hurry up because Microsoft is ending its free upgrade to Windows 10 offer on December 31. The company had already stopped free upgrade to Windows 10 in July last year but users who use accessibility features received an extension, according to a report from ZDNet.

Microsoft announced back in July last year, "We are not restricting the free upgrade offer to specific assistive technologies. If you use assistive technology on Windows, you are eligible for the free upgrade offer. It is not intended to be a workaround for people who don't use assistive technology and who missed the deadline for the free offer." Now the company has edited that page and made a new announcement. Earlier the page read, "We will make a public announcement prior to ending the offer." But now it has changed to "The accessibility upgrade offer expires on December 31, 2017".

In an update to the Windows 10 FAQ page, Microsoft said no-cost upgrade will expire at the end of the year. The new text was apparently added to the page on October 24.

Microsoft has also started rolling out Windows 10 Fall Creators Update bringing several new features to the platform. Alongside, the company also announced that the first mixed reality headsets were now available to buy.
