BANGALORE, INDIA: After bringing Office to the iPad, iPhone and Android, Microsoft has now acquired Acompli, the innovative mobile email apps provider for iOS and Android, which will give seamless email experience on mobile devices.

The Acompli app provides a single place to manage email, schedule meetings, and work with attachments and files. "We’re excited about what’s possible as we build on the app’s success and bring it together with work currently in progress by the Outlook team," said he.

Acompli already provides support for email and file services from Apple, Dropbox, Google, and Box and Microsoft is looking to integrate the capabilities of the  Office 365 platform into the product as well to deliver the best productivity experiences across various mobile platforms.
