Microsemi appoints Amr El-Ashmawi as VP, Strategic Mktg

CALIFORNIA, USA: Semiconductor solutions provider, Microsemi has appointed Amr El-Ashmawi as it worldwide vice president of strategic marketing.

El-Ashmawi will lead the development and implementation of the defense & security and industrial vertical market strategies. El-Ashmawi has spent more than 18 years in the high-tech industry. Prior to joining Microsemi he spent over eight years at Altera in senior leadership roles within the defense, security and high-performance computing business vertical market groups.

"Amr's extensive experience in high growth applications in the defense & security and industrial markets, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of semiconductor system solutions, will be invaluable in accelerating our growth in these key vertical markets," said Garcia.
