Cisco Systems president India and SAARC region Anil Batra said, "Microland, which had the benefit of having been a Cisco system integrator partner previously, had built itself into a credible force in the Internet industry in India." He also said that, Cisco had realised, "you cannot do everything yourself, you have to partner and then you tilt the scales in your favor." He said the partnership would focus on India, but Sri Lanka and Bangladesh would also be included.
