LONDON: British software company Micro Focus International said it was confident about the future and a strong finish to the year and acquisitions would help revenue rise about 57 percent.

The company, which updates legacy mainframe applications for companies like Tesco and Boeing, said revenue for the year to end-April would be about $432 million against $274.7 million a year earlier.

Its adjusted earnings margin before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation margin would be about 40 percent for the year, up from 39 percent in the first half, helped by the successful integration of Borland and Compuware's testing business in the first half.

Micro Focus, which in March appointed Nigel Clifford as its CEO, ending a six-month search after the surprise resignation of Stephen Kelly, said it was confident it had a platform to continue to grow.
