Mexico Gaming properties bet on tech

MATTHEWS: PokerTek has been selected by Apuestas Internacionales, S.A. de C.V. for its gaming properties operated in Mexico under the brand name “PlayCity”. Apuestas Internacionales, S.A. de C.V. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. in charge of its gaming business segment.

PlayCity currently has 25 gaming properties in Mexico, and has made commitments to PokerTek for 34 units. PokerTek installed the initial units at two of PlayCity´s premier properties located in Mexico City: two units at PlayCity Armand on November 20th and three units at PlayCity Antara on November 24th.

“PlayCity’s properties are impressive, and include the latest gaming technology,” said Mark Roberson, PokerTek’s Acting CEO and CFO. “We are pleased to be selected by such a prestigious company as their supplier, and look forward to adding units into their other properties as quickly as possible.”
