MetricStream to double Indian team

BANGALORE: US based enterprise application developer, MetricStream is planning to double its workforce in Bangalore by the end of the current fiscal. The Indian subsidiary, MetricStream Infotech (India) Pvt Ltd, is also planning on entering the Indian market to sell its product and services.



Redwood Shores, California based MetricStream has two products, QualityStream and CorporateStream. Targeted at enterprises, QualityStream helps companies align themselves to quality norms and the federal regulations of the US. It has about 20 plus customers, all in the US.



"After establishing in US since 1999, sometime next year, we are targeting overseas markets such as EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia Pacific. This includes India too," said, Gagan Arora, Vice President and Head of Engineering, MetricStream.



Operational since 2001, the India offshore enterprise application development center has about 50 people and is expected to ramp up to 100 by March 2005. The center offers product development, support as well as services offerings to its US customers. Presently its flagship product, QualityStream is in 3.4 version and is expected to roll out its next generation version of the product sometime next year.



As part of its expansion into newer geographies, MetricStream is soon to close a funding. Having Merged with US based Zaplet in February 2004, the company is open for inorganic growth.
