Mercury strengthens the surveillance portfolio

BANGALORE, INDIA: Kobian, leading player in computer peripherals added the new series of Mercury Security Surveillance Kits with Mobile Phone Surveillance.

According to a company release, the DIY kit is available for the easy installation by the end user. The Kits are available with the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) with an option of making it a 4-Channel, 8Channel or a 16 Channel Kit. User can choose the Kit based on their requirement and coverage and the easy installation can guide and simplify the process which is otherwise presumed to be a tedious work.

Surveillance Cameras

Mercury Surveillance Cameras are based on Sony II Super HAD CCD Lens providing the required resolution and picture capture quality. HAD technology in these cameras help in getting 2 times better sensitivity and 6db better smear rejection ratio. The coverage range of capturing is up to 50M, with clear quality image capturing. The two unique models are the "smoke detector shaped" and the "Mini Camera" which can be best fit for surveillance and shall not be noted by the people around. The cameras are built with lens up to 3.7mm of which MSC-8031M Mini Camera is built with pin-hole technology.

The cameras support PAL tool, a powerful tool that reads in a performance monitor counter log and analyzes it using known thresholds. LED infra red lens range up to 84pcs IR and some of the cameras have electronic shutter and are water resistant. The cameras come with 420TVL horizontal resolution, and few models have aluminum alloy body with heat dissipation feature.

Digital Video Recorders

Mercury MDV-D8204AV, MSC-D8208AV and MDV-D8216V digital video recorders have been released in digital video recorder category. These recorders have H.264 compression technology, the support ranges from 4CH D1/CIF to 16CH D1/CIF recording. They support dual-stream transmission for all channels. True Multiplex Operation: Support any channel playback under real-time surveillance. These products provide support backup with USB, External HDD, and Network. The DVR support 1 Channel BNC video main output and 1 Channel VGA video output; and additional 1 Channel spot as well in select models. All the products support mobile phone surveillance (Windows CE OS / Symbian / iPhone/ Blackberry / Android. User friendly function using mouse, remote controller operation and front panel are available. Mercury MDV-D8204AV and MDV-D8216V support 1/4CH playback and MSC-D8208AV supports 1/8CH playback simultaneously.
