With its multi-threading capabilities, remote and

production debugging capabilities, Server Express reduces the time and resources needed to

develop, debug, and deploy robust e-Business and distributed application solutions. Built

to work with today's 32-bit operating systems and with most of the emerging 64-bit

platforms, including those of IBM, HP and Sun Microsystems.

MERANT Solutions India, Managing Director Nitin Wagh said,

"Server Express is particularly a good solution for India as it is a UNIX based

solution for achieving legacy-to-web migration and India is the largest user of UNIX based

applications."

As the newest member of the Micro Focus distributed

computing solutions family, Server Express can also work in partnership with Micro Focus

Net Express, the groundbreaking development environment for e-business applications. Net

Express extends core COBOL business applications to the Web and other distributed

platforms. Net Express, combined with Server Express, helps developers extend business

applications and programming resources, reduce the development cycle, and accelerate the

deployment of applications that take advantage of new technologies.
