Mentor Graphics headcount to touch 500

NEW DELHI: Electronic design automation (EDA) company, Mentor Graphics is gearing up to increase its headcount 355 percent. Staffing will shoot up from the existing 110 to about 500-by February 2005.





As part of its growth strategy, the company plans to shift its entire operations from its present Sector 10, Noida facility to a much bigger one at Logix Technopark in Noida itself.





When contacted, senior Mentor Graphics officials in India confirmed this move and informed that this expansion will fuel the company's ongoing research and development activities in the Indian sub-continent.





Logix Technopark is an IT park being developed by IT Enfraservices Pvt Ltd and is expected to completed by February 2005.





Based at Wilsonville, US, Mentor Graphics provides software and hardware design solutions that enable companies to develop electronic products. Presently, the company has two development centers in India, one at Noida near New Delhi, and another at Hyderabad in southern India.
