Melstar Information Technologies Limited, a software company, has signed

partnership agreements with two international companies, UK-based Linkhand Image and

Ireland-based Singularity for the development and ownership of a Document Management

System (DMS) solution targeted primarily at the financial and insurance sectors.

The first phase of the DMS project will be completed in

September this year. Based on mainstream Microsoft technologies, the solution will

leverage the infrastructure products of MS Backoffice and component-based development

technologies.

Melstar (UK) Director Bharat Ramani, said, "The

partnerships will establish Melstar as a significant player in the fast developing field

of DMS. It also underlines our maturity and capability in bringing powerful technologies

like Microsoft's COM to bear on commercial products." Linkhand Image Chairman A.C.

Gale said, "We follow a practice of consultation throughout the development process.

These are the same values which Melstar respects, so we have a common basis for the

development work ahead."
