Megasoft posts Q3 PAT of Rs 22 mn

HYDERABAD,INDIA: Megasoft Limited, a provider in technology services, announced on Thursday a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 22 million for the quarter that ended on September 30, 2008.

The consolidated income of the company stood at Rs. 829 million, up by 14 per cent, and PBT of Rs. 27 million for the quarter when compared to income of Rs. 728 million and PBT of Rs.155 million in the corresponding quarter last year, said a press release.

It filed an EBIDTA of Rs. 140 million in this quarter.

The company has posted consolidated revenues of RS. 2648 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2008 as compared to Rs.1929 million for the corresponding nine months last year, it added.

GV Kumar, managing director and chief executive officer, Megasoft Ltd., said, “There is no doubt that the economic crisis has affected the entire world and growth rate of overall telecom industry. “Now we are more focused on our higher end, larger customers and cash flow centric business and are viewing new growth opportunities conservatively,” he added.

During the reporting quarter the company announced that it has added two new customers in telecom and bagged six new out sourcing deals for its Blueally division, it added.
