Meet Samsung's new India MD

BANGALORE, INDIA: B D Park has been appointed the president and CEO of Samsung South West Asia Operations and Managing Director, Samsung India Electronics Ltd.

Park, who was head of mobile and IT division at Samsung India as the director, mobile and IT, assumes his new role from today. He succeeds Jung Soo Shin, who was president and CEO for Samsung South West Asia from February 2009.

In his role, Park will oversee the operations of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (SIEL); Samsung India Software Operations (SISO), Samsung’s R & D Centre at Bangalore; Samsung India Software Center (SISC) and SEL India, Samsung’s R&D Centers at Noida as well as the Company’s operations in the SAARC Region.

Park brings with him over 28 years of work experience at Samsung having started his career with Samsung Electro Mechanics Co. Ltd in 1983.
