After pulling the shutter down on Google+ Hangouts API, Google has been refocusing its efforts on Hangouts to make it a business tool. In a similar push, Google has launched a new product for G Suite users, Meet by Google Hangouts, a video-conferencing application especially aimed at business users.

However, it seems Google may have pushed the web and mobile application feature live accidentally because its page on the G Suite website still isn’t up. Though meet.google.com is live, where you can see options to enter a meeting code to join a meeting or your scheduled meetings, but the page doesn't show any option to place a phone call or start a text chat.

TechCrunch who reported the story first also managed to take some screenshots of the iOS App Store listing, which has been taken off by the company. As per the report, the new service will support high-definition video meetings with up to 30 participants, whereas Hangouts supports only 10 people.

The service also includes features like dial-in numbers, links to join the chat with a link, and integration with Gmail and Calendar for G Suite users, making it easy to access these calls while on the go.

According to TechCrunch, the dial-in numbers feature is currently available only to G Suite Enterprise Edition customers, "but that’s the only limitation noted so far". Along with a list of your scheduled meetings, the app will also display other details like time, location, subject, attendees and more.

Though Google is yet to officially announce Meet or comment anything, we can expect the tech giant to unveil the feature completely at its business user conference in San Francisco next week.
