begins operations in Karnataka

BANGALORE:, the Internet and telephone health service company,
has launched its services in Karnataka. Conceived as a one-stop-shop for
e-commerce and e-content on all matters related to healthcare, Medybiz will
enable commerce of medicines, equipment, hospital consumables and services,
thereby serving the needs of doctors, hospitals, exporters, institutions,
pharmaceutical companies and consumers.

Medybiz will initially offer five services to consumers in Karnataka–Medyshop,
Medylab, Medycall, Medycab and Medyappoint. All these services can be availed
either by logging on to or
by calling the 24-hour Medybiz call center (9628496222). The company has also
invested in a dedicated logistics delivery and service provider network in
Karnataka. This logistics backbone will enable the efficient delivery of
services throughout the state. has got an initial investment of Rs 9 crore, out of which Rs1
crore has been utilized and the rest will be used in the opening of more
centers. Medybiz, launched in Chennai on June 21, is planning to go to 47 more
cities across India, including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta. CEO A Suryanarayan said, " puts a range of

services and logistics network makes one of the most comprehensive
click and brick models in the country."
