Mediclinic selects Orchestra's multidomain MDM

STELLENBOSCH, SOUTH AFRICA and PARIS, FRANCE: Mediclinic International has selected Orchestra Networks' EBX5 software for its multidomain master data management program in order to facilitate streamlined, consolidated procurement information across its international operations in four countries.

Mediclinic delivers world-class patient care across a network of 68 private hospitals and eight clinics, operating more than 9300 beds in South Africa, Namibia, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. At present, each of these businesses is responsible for its own procurement.

Mediclinic's initial multidomain MDM project will use EBX5 to facilitate indirect purchasing by matching and consolidating detailed procurement information for each organization's products. Sourcing supplies from global vendors will enable Mediclinic to create economies of scale and reduce costs.

Mediclinic's initial focus will be on product data, but they plan to create a comprehensive data management programme that will span the entire organization.

Its features include data modelling, hierarchy management, collaborative workflow, embedded data quality, data authoring, version control, security and permissions and integration and distribution.
