SANTA CLARA, USA: McAfee, Inc.today announced an expanded blade strategy with the HP BladeSystem as the platform for delivering McAfee’s gateway security solutions.

With this release, McAfee is broadening platform options to include both the HP c3000 and HP c7000 chassis as its M3-class and M7-class products and adding the McAfee Web Gateway appliance with a new next-generation anti-malware engine to the existing EWS email security protection offered in the McAfee Content Security Blade Server.

As noted in the recent McAfee Q2 Threats Report, malware problems continue to increase with botnets at an all-time high while Trojans and worms continue to attack social network sites. Additionally, tools and services continue to make it easy to create new malware. The McAfee Content Security Blade Server helps protect organizations from these threats with a fully extensible content security platform offering both Web and email security.
