PUNE: The consumer-oriented anti-spyware software company Max Secure Software is all set to release its automatic registry scanning and cleanup product, Max Registry Cleaner.

The product that backups any registry change made, removes orphaned references, scans hard drive for invalid and incorrect program shortcuts besides giving regular live updates will hit the market in a full-fledged scale very soon. It is currently in the test-marketing phase.

The company has launched Max Spyware Detector version 2.0 today.

Max Secure Software will also be adding another 100 people to its headcount of 40 people in India that take care of 100 per cent development functions for the company.

International expansion is another item on its agenda and it would be setting up a beachhead base in London soon.

"Talks are in progress and we would make the announcements as soon as they materialize," informed Sanjay Pradhan, founder and CEO of the Pune-based company that has a marketing office in Santa Clara, USA.

The company has filed one global patent in the anti-spyware space and is expecting another one to come out of its kitty soon. Development work on generic and heuristic tracking of spyware, new products in data protection, privacy, PC performance and fake spyware constitutes a vital part of its R&D efforts and products for the same are in pipeline.

"Fake spyware that poses to be an anti-spyware offering is a new threat area and we are constantly working on tackling new GUIs (Graphic User Interfaces), signatures and files for the same," shared Rachna Pradhan, CTO of the company.

Max Secure Software has a roster of over 90,000 subscription-based customers of which 90 per cent belongs to the single-user chunk.

An enterprise version of its offering is also expected in the next six to nine months, informed Pradhan.
