Mastek to set up development center in Chennai

NEW DELHI: Mastek Ltd has announced signing of the agreement to acquire 15.5 acres of land at Mahindra City in Chennai. This will be Mastek group's first development center outside Maharashtra and the sixth development center in India. The company will be investing substantially in this project in the coming years.



Speaking at the occasion, Mastek chairman Ashank Desai said, "Mastek has grown to over 2,700 employees and we are steadily increasing in numbers. We need infrastructure, which will grow, with our aspirations and the Chennai Development Center is in line with our growth strategy. It will be Mastek's biggest facility till date and we are very excited about coming to Chennai."



He added, "Chennai was our choice primarily because of the manpower availability, besides the cost and infrastructure. The talent pool here is just apt considering the complex and mission critical nature of projects Mastek works on".
