Masked man kills 14 during Batman screening

BANGALORE, INDIA: Tragedy struck at a cinema hall in Denver, USA, during the screening of the latest Batman movie 'The Dark Knight Rises'. According to media reports, at least 14 people have been killed and 50 others injured when a man in a gas mask opened indiscriminate fire in the cinema hall.

The unidentified gunman who's in his early 20s, coolly walked into the Century Theatre cinema at the Aurora Mall and threw in a smoke canister while the movie was being screened, he then used his rifle to shoot down people at random,  said a Zee News report.

The suspect was taken into custody, but no name was released. Police said there's no evidence of any other attackers. There was also no immediate word of any motive, say media reports.

The latest tweet mentions that the suspect is a 24 year old, and also that the police have found explosives at his apartment.

According to another tweet, the victims were in the age group of 6 to 31.
