Mascot acquires Mastech Malaysia

MUMBAI: Indian software services firm Mascot Systems said on Wednesday that

it had acquired Mastech Malaysia from its US-based parent firm iGate Capital

Corp for $300,000.

Mascot said in a statement, that it hoped the acquisition would help it

exploit opportunities in Malaysia and neighboring Singapore. Mastech Malaysia

had revenue of $850,000 in the year ending December 2000, the statement said.

Mascot shares ended 2.82 percent lower on Wednesday at Rs 129 at the Bombay

Stock Exchange, while the benchmark index closed 2.14 percent down.
