Marlabs expands in India

BANGALORE: The US-based technology solutions and services provider, Marlabs Inc. today announced the setting up of a new Offshore Development Center here.

A Marlabs statement released here said that the new center, its second one in Bangalore, would accommodate its software development team as well as development teams of other IT services and end-user companies using the BOT model.

The company also announced its plan to add more than 200 professionals over the year. Marlabs' existing facility would house its teams of sales, marketing and support functions.

“The new center marks the business focus shift of Marlabs from onsite to offshore and is part of the aggressive plans we have in India. The Global Delivery India Centre will be the largest delivery centre outside the United States and will provide offshore development services in the areas of Applications Development, Product Development, Package Implementation, Business Intelligence and Testing. We expect to grow this facility as a Marlabs Center of Excellence in a short period of time,” said Sunil Nambiar, head - Global Delivery, Marlabs India.

The company currently employs nearly 600 software professionals in the US. A Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 company, Marlabs focuses on the Healthcare, Financial Services and Media Industry verticals and partners with tech majors to provide technology solutions.
